The Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) will lower energy costs, provide energy security, ensure cleaner air, and create new jobs. Energy demand is increasing and by constructing this pipeline, energy costs will be reduced. There is an abundance of natural gas in the United States which reduces energy prices for consumers. Clean affordable and abundant natural gas helps reach clean air goals and uses fuel from our own region. A top priority is maintaining the natural, cultural, and historic resources of the country as well as minimizing the environmental impacts on the community. The ACP benefits communities by creating jobs. Over 17,000 jobs will be created to construct the pipeline, and over 2,000 more will be needed to maintain and operate it.
